ARTIST STATEMENT

Creating art is and has always been my passion.  It is a form of meditation that allows me to communicate with my soul.  My emotions, thoughts, and ideas are represented within a visual language that captures my spiritual and visual journey through life. During the development of this visual language, one concept leads to another and eventually becomes a narration of my life as told through symbols and color.

Through spiritual surrealism, I explore my subconscious. Voices inform my paintings of spirituality.  Expressions of passion during this exploration are informed by, and joined to, a greater power than my own.  Sensations of peace and tranquility expand and create visions that reflect existence here on Earth and, at the same, life among the stars.

Creativity is a vessel filled from a higher source.  During the creative process, when the body, mind, and heart are in harmony with the source, I reveal in the magical rhythm of life. My works contain the energy of many elements captured visually during the evolution of each piece. Surreal Spirituality and Abstract Expressionism are the genres I use for emotional expression, to document my perceptions, and to record my growth.
